The public function, specifically that with a aptitude to defend the interests of the State, has been constantly studied in the different legal systems and has responded to the needs or strategic interests of a certain historical moment, respecting legal traditions and adaptation to the new times. Raising the needs for the training of State lawyers is strategic and should be oriented towards a public policy for the best defense of the State. This article will address, in a first part, general issues of the civil service, bureaucracies and the constant needs for transformation; Second, it will analyze the debate that is currently taking place in France to achieve greater inclusion, diversity and democratization in training and access to public service; without the intention of seeking a Eurocentric vision, and even less neocolonial, nonetheless conscious and receptive to a debate that we also owe ourselves as a society. In a third part, the demands of our national reality will be examined; and finally, we suggest a quarter of proposals that should at least improve the debate in these latitudes to respond to autochthonous claims.
